Job Duties

  • Manage the telephone and switchboard
  • operate paging and telephone system as required
  • answer calls timely and courteously
  • direct calls promptly and accurately
  • assist visitors upon arrival by greeting them courteously
  • provide directions or contact the person visitors have come to see
  • ensure all visitors and vendors sign in
  • demonstrate customer service skills in every interaction via phone or in person including smiling, greeting, offering assistance, and maintaining a neat and orderly work area
  • demonstrate awareness of environment and focus on the front entrance
  • perform other clerical duties as assigned including assisting administration with projects, mail handling, filing, preparing informational materials, administrative support tasks such as data entry and account posting, ordering supplies
  • attend in-service education programs to meet facility requirements
  • be familiar with standard precautions, exposure control plan, fire drill and evacuation procedures
  • maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records
  • protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse
  • protect the personal property of residents
  • perform other duties as directed by supervisor or administrator
