Job Requirements

Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift
Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks
Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
Ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
Ability to work under temperature conditions from freezing to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
Must arrive on time, appropriately groomed and dressed
Must attend required trainings and meetings

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
No prior retail experience required
Strong communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Effective time management and organization skills

Ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues
Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
Ensure product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
Ensure product production uses correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed
Help customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and products at conventional stores
Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers
Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
Provide excellent customer service and model suggestive selling techniques
Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
Follow and comply with health and sanitation regulations and safe work practices
Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
Report safety hazards and violations immediately
