Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift
- Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
- Ability to work under temperature conditions from freezing to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Must arrive on time, appropriately groomed and dressed
- Must attend required trainings and meetings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No prior retail experience required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Effective time management and organization skills

- Ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues
- Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- Ensure product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- Ensure product production uses correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed
- Help customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and products at conventional stores
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers
- Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Provide excellent customer service and model suggestive selling techniques
- Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
- Follow and comply with health and sanitation regulations and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- Report safety hazards and violations immediately
