Job Requirements
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
- Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program
- PA licensure with State Medical Board
- National NCCPA certification
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in a temporary, as-needed capacity
- Compliance with pre-employment screening (criminal background check, drug testing, education verification)
- Submission of resume and relevant documents
- Availability to work flexible shifts as required
Job Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current PA license with State Medical Board
- National certification (NCCPA)
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Previous experience in orthopedics or related field preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic procedures
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment and treatment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Attention to detail in medical documentation
Job Duties
- Provide essential medical care to support the UAMS Ortho Clinic team in Northwest Arkansas
- Conduct physical exams and diagnose illnesses
- Prescribe treatments and perform minor medical procedures
- Manage patient care and order diagnostic tests
- Maintain accurate medical records and educate patients about their health
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care
- Cover shifts flexibly during staff absences or special situations
