Job Qualifications
- Friendly and energetic attitude
- highly motivated with a passion for cooking
- experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment preferred
- basic knowledge of cooking techniques, especially wok cooking
- ability to follow detailed recipes and plating instructions
- good communication skills
- willingness to learn and be challenged
Job Duties
- Learns all wok recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung’s procedures
- checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
- cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s recipes
- plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s plating guidelines
- prepares and cuts garnishes for wok line items
- labels all items in accordance with health department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
- attends monthly staff meetings and wok meetings
