North American operations are overseen by the grandsons of the founder, who serve as co-CEOs. The division has experienced significant growth since its inception in 2000, with the first U.S. location opening in Arcadia, California.

As of 2024, Din Tai Fung operates 18 locations across the United States, offering an upscale yet inviting dining experience that emphasizes cultural appreciation and community engagement.

Menu Highlights

In 2024, Din Tai Fung expanded its presence on the East Coast by opening a 25,000-square-foot restaurant in New York City. This marked its first location in the city and was the largest in the world at that time.
