Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand, twist, bend, pull, push, crouch, stoop, and reach frequently during shift
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently during shift
- Continuous mobility and coordination during shift
- Comply with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and dress code
- Commitment to maintaining outstanding store cleanliness and operational standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Knowledge and passion for guest service and competency in selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service
- Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment in ambiguous situations, and be flexible and adaptable
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service to their needs, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and/or services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Pair guests with associates to perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest service experience
- Book appointments and support in-store events execution to deliver unrivaled guest experiences while achieving sales goals
- Take ownership over the organization, replenishment, and maintenance of all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures to ensure guest-readiness
- Support leadership team with cashier chat ins/outs, associate exit inspections, and open/close register functions
- Contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates, peers, and guests
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
- Share benefits of guest loyalty program including credit and Ulta Beauty app, and lead associates to do the same
- Train new cashiers and cross-train associates in cashiering
- Engage and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering personalized Ulta Beauty brand experience and following systems prompts
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards including dress code
- Ensure proper transaction completion and control of cash and media at cashwrap according to company policies
- Maintain cleanliness and store standards in all areas including cashwrap, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, and break area
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by following workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention procedures
- Execute operational tasks as directed by management
