- prior management experience, preferably in a culinary environment
- NYC Food Handler’s certification, Serv Safe certification and Allertrain certification
Job Duties
- Addressing customer service needs
- hire and train new staff, and attending training sessions and meetings when required
- place orders, reconcile invoices, take weekly physical inventory, manage budgeted food, and labor costs
- ensuring that staff meet all, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations
- plan, organize and lead food production, service, pack outs and/or deliveries
- ensure food production and service is managed efficiently and effectively
- preparation and execution for catering and events
- communicate frequently and effectively with key points of contact in the school community including administrators, faculty, and parents
- budgeting for the unit, including but not limited to directly purchasing ingredients, supplies, and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts
- conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service
- addressing customer service needs
