Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be available to close the store at least once per week
  • Attend corporate meetings and conferences with possible overnight and interstate travel
  • Maintain valid identification for airline travel

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of retail management or relevant work experience
  • proven success in financial management including driving sales, managing payroll, and controlling expenses
  • experience in retail management focused on inventory monitoring, operational excellence, service culture, and merchandising
  • leadership experience in attracting, developing, and motivating talent
  • proficiency with Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed Ulta Beauty’s retail and service sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink goals
  • Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support scheduling needs, maximize productivity, achieve sales and payroll goals, and complete workload on time within budget
  • Address issues identified by financial and operational reports, store visits, and audits to achieve goals and drive profitability
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
  • Maintain prompt attendance and hold associates accountable to attendance policy
  • Attract, hire, and retain a diverse top talent team
  • Address policy violations with corrective action up to employment separation
  • Build an engaged team that embodies the brand through collaboration and communication
  • Create an inclusive environment encouraging associate growth and engagement
  • Lead all aspects of manager and associate development including training, feedback, coaching, performance reviews, succession planning, and development plans
  • Ensure participation in ongoing training and brand/category education
  • Communicate enterprise strategy and align goals with company objectives
  • Promote teamwork by working alongside management and providing clear direction
  • Execute Guest Engagement Leader program to drive business results
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Adhere to and enforce dress code
  • Use scheduling and task management tools effectively
  • Protect assets and minimize loss by meeting standards in safety, inventory control, cash management, and loss prevention
  • Execute inventory control processes and theft reporting
  • Support continuous improvement by adopting initiatives and technology
  • Provide feedback to field leadership on store business trends and operational challenges
