Job Description
Eye Wander Photography is a reputable photography studio located in Baton Rouge, LA, dedicated to creating memorable and beautiful portrait experiences for its clients. As a company that values the importance of every interaction from the very first point of contact, Eye Wander Photography focuses on delivering a warm, welcoming, and professional environment both in person and over the phone. This full-time, in-studio position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18.50 to $23, depending on experience, with a pay review after six months. The studio operates Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, and provides hybrid flexibility after training, emphasizing work-life balance and flexibility for its team members.
The role of Front Desk & Client Experience Coordinator is pivotal to the studio's commitment to excellent client service. As the first voice clients hear, this individual is responsible for making every interaction count by setting a positive and supportive tone. The coordinator serves as the in-studio front desk support and primary phone guide. This person manages incoming calls, offers clear and thoughtful guidance on various photography session options, and sends follow-up communications that reinforce professionalism and warmth. They also update client records using Mac-based CRM tools and welcome in-person clients with the same level of friendliness and attentiveness.
This job is tailored for someone who thrives in structured and professional settings, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys engaging in meaningful conversations. Candidates with backgrounds in teaching, customer service, or similar roles that required patient and clear communication will find this position rewarding. Attention to detail and organization are essential, as is the ability to multitask between in-person client greetings and managing phone inquiries. Comfort and proficiency with digital tools, especially Mac systems, are also important.
Eye Wander Photography’s Front Desk & Client Experience Coordinator is not responsible for making cold calls, working nights, weekends, or managing bookings and contracts—allowing them to focus fully on providing welcoming, clear, and supportive client interactions. This creates an environment where the employee can truly shine by helping clients feel confident in their decisions and valued from their very first engagement with the studio.
The role offers several appealing benefits after 90 days of employment, including health insurance, paid time off, parental leave, a flexible schedule, and on-the-job training. For candidates who enjoy working in a friendly atmosphere, there are also some small friendly dogs present in the studio, adding to the warm and inviting workplace culture.
To apply, candidates are encouraged to submit a resume along with a short video introducing themselves and explaining why they are a great fit for the role, as well as a link to one of their social media profiles to help showcase their communication style and personality. This thorough application process reflects the company’s dedication to finding someone who will be a good fit both professionally and culturally.
Overall, this position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in customer service within a creative and welcoming environment. Eye Wander Photography is committed to making the portrait experience exceptional from start to finish, beginning with the very first voice their clients hear.
