Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or as a food runner preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Capability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to carry heavy trays and stand for long periods
  • Willingness to learn and follow restaurant policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a food runner or similar role advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Basic understanding of menu items and ability to describe dishes
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant standards
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including carrying plates and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Stocking and organizing the Expo area
  • Restocking plates and service items throughout the shift
  • Acting as a liaison between the kitchen and dining room
  • Communicating effectively with various positions to maintain guest pace
  • Knowing plating and serving standards for all dishes
  • Removing food promptly from the window
  • Upholding food safety and sanitation standards
  • Deshelling lobster tails
  • Marking tables for the next course
  • Taking off-premises orders over the phone
  • Using packaging guidelines for food pickup
  • Tendering payment
  • Closing checks
