Job Requirements

  • Experience as Chef de Cuisine Executive Sous Chef or equivalent
  • Demonstrated seafood expertise including raw bar and whole-fish preparation
  • Background in upscale or fine-dining settings
  • Experience leading opening kitchen teams preferred
  • Residency in New York City area
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement kitchen systems and training programs

Job Qualifications

  • Proven success as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef in upscale or fine-dining restaurants
  • Strong seafood experience including raw bar oysters crudo and whole-fish execution
  • Experience in opening restaurants preferred
  • Ability to build systems training prep structure and standards
  • Local New York City residency required

Job Duties

  • Lead pre-opening kitchen efforts including systems development
  • Organize prep structure and training programs
  • Establish and maintain service standards
  • Build and maintain a disciplined kitchen culture focused on consistency cleanliness and guest experience
  • Execute a product-driven grill and seafood program with classical French-Italian foundations
  • Oversee culinary operations across dining room bar food private events and hotel room service support
