Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training
  • minimum 5 years of experience in a culinary leadership role
  • proven expertise in Mexican cuisine
  • demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • experience managing kitchen operations including inventory and cost control
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of culinary leadership experience
  • prior Executive Chef or Head Chef role strongly preferred
  • expertise in Mexican cuisine, traditional foundations and modern interpretations
  • strong leadership abilities with proven experience building and developing teams
  • excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • experience with inventory management, food costing, and vendor negotiation
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • passion for creativity, innovation, and delivering memorable dining experiences

Job Duties

  • Create and refine seasonal menus reflecting modern Mexican flavors and techniques
  • develop specials and tasting menus as needed
  • ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and timeliness across all services
  • recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff
  • foster a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen culture
  • oversee daily kitchen operations including prep, service, sanitation, and equipment maintenance
  • manage food cost, inventory, ordering, vendor relationships, and waste reduction strategies
  • maintain all DOH standards, cleanliness protocols, and compliance with food safety regulations
  • work closely with ownership and FOH leadership on concept development, menu rollouts, and guest experience initiatives
  • stay updated on culinary trends and Mexican regional cuisines, integrating modern techniques while respecting tradition
