Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • Ability to create marketing strategies and promotional menu items with Chef to increase business volumes
  • Positive attitude at all times and serve as a leader on the hotel’s Leadership Group

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary workplace language

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the development and enhancement of the food product presented to guests
  • Maintain quality of food product and ensure consistency in delivery and standards
  • Work in support of team goals and measure effectiveness through Food & Beverage profit and service performance
  • Select, train, and develop culinary personnel
  • Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and food preparation workers
  • Develop and implement purchasing and receiving procedures
  • Set and establish performance, budget, and team goals
  • Communicate and enforce safety procedures and monitor compliance
  • Manage controllable expenses including food cost, supplies, and equipment
  • Collaborate with vendors to secure quality offerings at reasonable prices
  • Provide direction for menu development and food presentation
  • Recognize superior quality products and flavor
  • Improve service through guest needs communication and coaching
  • Interact with guests for feedback on quality and service
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Control profit and loss elements and manage budget margins
