Job Description

Mosaic is a premier event center located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. This modern and industrial-style venue is recognized for its vibrant celebration of culture and diversity. We are currently seeking a Venue Coordinator to join our team. This part-time position plays a critical role in ensuring that events held at Mosaic run smoothly from start to finish. The Venue Coordinator is responsible for overseeing venue operations during the event day, working closely with the Event Manager, clients, and vendors. This role demands excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure. The coordinator manages event setups, coordinates vendor needs, and maintains the overall condition of the venue, including cleanliness and technical equipment. The position requires flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, to align with event schedules. Compensation for this role ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.

The Venue Coordinator acts as the main point of contact on the event day, ensuring a positive experience for clients, guests, and vendors by facilitating communication and maintaining a professional, welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities include managing the event timeline, supervising setup and breakdown tasks, and ensuring compliance with venue standards. The job involves some physical activity such as lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in event planning, coordination, or hospitality, showcasing strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and customer service skills. Job Duties

  • Coordinate the setup and breakdown of events including arranging furniture decorations and equipment as per client specifications
  • Ensure the venue is clean and well-maintained before during and after events including checking bathrooms kitchen spaces and common areas
  • Monitor the venue's technical equipment lighting sound systems and other resources
  • Manage the event timeline and ensure that everything runs according to schedule
  • Serve as a venue point of contact for clients and vendors during the day of the event
  • Foster positive relationships with vendors ensuring they meet venue requirements and expectations
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests ensuring a positive experience
