Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, operating a diverse portfolio of brands that serve millions of guests annually across the world. Among its prestigious offerings, JW Marriott sits within the luxury segment and represents the epitome of refined, high-end hospitality, with more than 100 exquisite properties situated in key gateway cities and distinctive resort locations. Marriott International is committed to creating inclusive and welcoming environments that honor the unique backgrounds and talents of each associate, fostering a culture where diversity is celebrated and professional growth is actively encouraged. The company operates with a strong ethical foundation grounded in professional development, respect for individuals, and dedication to guest satisfaction. Marriott’s commitment to its associates is reflected through its comprehensive benefits packages and a work culture designed to ensure employee wellbeing, career empowerment, and personal fulfillment.
The opportunity presented is for a Sales Support Coordinator role within the Marriott Hotels chain. This role focuses on supporting the sales process by preparing sales-related documents such as proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders, while promoting the Marriott brand’s image both internally and externally. The coordinator plays a vital part in assembling sales materials and information packages to assist the sales team in maximizing revenue and maintaining customer loyalty. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing revenue and marketing programs for food and beverage outlets and room service, coordinating social media initiatives, beverage promotions, and managing reservation confirmations for special events. This position requires proactive communication with clients, handling inquiries related to property facilities, services, rates, promotions, and special events. In addition to sales and marketing duties, the coordinator also performs essential general office tasks like filing, emailing, typing, faxing, and copying to support the sales and room service teams.
This full-time role demands a high level of professionalism, adherence to company standards, and a customer-focused mindset. The Sales Support Coordinator must handle information accurately, maintain confidential data, and ensure smooth internal communication to facilitate seamless guest services. The role involves physical aspects such as standing, walking, and handling light objects, balanced with significant administrative duties. Marriott fosters a supportive team environment by encouraging positive working relationships, teamwork, and careful attention to employee wellbeing. Furthermore, the company emphasizes safety by requiring the reporting of accidents or unsafe conditions and enforces strict compliance with company policies and quality standards.
Marriott International provides a unique working environment known as The JW Treatment™, which prioritizes the wellbeing and professional growth of associates while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Working at Marriott Hotels is more than a job; it is a chance to be part of a global community where you can develop your career, belong to a thriving team, and become the best version of yourself. Marriott’s dedication to equal opportunity employment ensures a work atmosphere free of discrimination, where all individuals can thrive regardless of background. This position offers an excellent chance to join a world-class hospitality leader with stable employment, competitive salary ranges depending on location and experience, and access to comprehensive benefits. All associates receive training, development opportunities, and the support needed to build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry.
