We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Event Planner / Event Sales professional to join our team. This unique role is a blend of incoming and soliciting new business, building event orders, and meticulously planning the flawless execution of catered events. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new catering clients through prospecting, cold calling, and effective sales techniques, while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. You will work closely with our culinary team, particularly the Chef, to design and refine menus that suit the specific needs of each event. Your thorough knowledge of menu items, gained through frequent tastings, will enable you to confidently present options to clients and tailor offerings to their preferences.

In addition to sales responsibilities, you will oversee any catered event that requires a personal visit to ensure smooth and flawless execution. Building and maintaining a preferred vendor list—including flower arrangements, music, and audiovisual equipment—is also an important aspect of this role. You must be able to handle stressful and busy work environments with a calm demeanor and positive attitude. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and increased work schedules during peak seasons, is essential.

Our ideal Event Planner / Event Sales professional is someone with at least three years of catering sales experience within the restaurant or hospitality industry, possessing a guest-focused, detail-oriented approach to sales and service. This position is perfect for a team player who thrives in collaborative environments and demonstrates polished, professional communication skills across various channels, including in-person, phone, and correspondence. Additional qualifications such as experience with parties and special events, knowledge of current industry trends, and outside sales experience in downtown Minneapolis are highly valued.
