Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a culinary or hospitality college program or have 1 year of industry experience
  • Meet university GPA requirement for internship
  • Successful completion of sanitation standards training
  • Successful completion of relevant knife skills and/or introductory culinary or hospitality coursework
  • Availability to work 20 to 40 hours per week based on business needs and internship requirements
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace

Job Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items across all kitchen stations
  • Rotate through various stations including pizza/pasta, deli, salad bar, grill, and international cuisine
  • Engage with guests and tailor plates to their dietary needs
  • Review culinary and front-of-house standards
  • Learn about wellness and sustainability initiatives
  • Adhere to platinum service customer standards
  • Consistently practice safety and sanitation protocols
  • Assist with catering events, including setup and execution
  • Develop professional relationships and enhance interpersonal skills
  • Rotate through front-of-house roles in the café, catering, and coffee shop
  • Provide consistently friendly and courteous service to guests
  • Support catering events by setting up, arranging buffet stations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing cleanup
  • Assist with marketing tasks, including signage, seasonal decorations, and food holiday communications
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations
