Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag
  • Maintain regular attendance according to scheduling needs
  • Comply with Avantic Lodging Enterprises standards and regulations
  • Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk
  • Operate telephone switchboard and ensure performance standards
  • Handle requests for information, mail, and messages courteously
  • Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and operation hours
  • Provide information about local restaurants, transportation, and entertainment
  • Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with hotel departments
  • Follow all credit policies
  • Be knowledgeable of rates, packages, groups, and restricted dates
  • Take room reservations and follow rate quoting procedures
  • Adhere to company policies and hospitality terminology
  • Assist in emergency procedures as required
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently
  • Operate Front Desk computer systems accurately
  • Maintain attentiveness, friendliness, helpfulness, and courteousness
  • Manage logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages
  • Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating
  • Attend management meetings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
