Job Requirements

  • Ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to handle conflict situations professionally
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to stay on feet for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift and/or move 30 pounds 50 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds 5 percent of the time

Job Duties

  • Provide efficient bell service including prompt delivery, collection, and storage of luggage
  • Practice salesmanship to promote hotel products in guest interactions
  • Greet guests professionally and direct them to their rooms using their names
  • Handle dry cleaning check-ins and ensure timely delivery of items
  • Assist in arrangement and coordination of shuttle services
  • Distribute newspapers to guests and appropriate hotel departments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby and work area
  • Be knowledgeable about guest rooms, hotel amenities, and loyalty programs such as Marriott Rewards and Club Marquis
  • Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and hospitality guidelines
  • Assist guests with inquiries and resolve problems professionally
  • Be flexible with work schedule and maintain professional appearance adhering to hotel dress code
  • Represent Marriott in a disciplined and professional manner at all times
