Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience in a specialty retail environment preferred
- six months supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- ability to perform mathematical calculations
- strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- ability to operate cash registers and related tools
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to manage inventory and merchandising
- physical ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 40 pounds
- valid driver’s license and ability to drive own vehicle for bank deposits
- willingness to work a fast-paced environment
- ability to follow safety and company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices
- ability to perform cash register functions and operate related tools
- ability to develop and maintain organization and attention to detail
- ability to solve problems and handle various situations
- ability to interface respectfully and effectively with store associates, suppliers and customers
- strong product inventory knowledge and creative merchandising skills
- ability to drive own vehicle to the bank for deposits

- one year of experience in a specialty retail environment preferred

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer's expectations
- assist the Store Team Leader in creating and supporting a customer first store culture
- model product knowledge and selling techniques
- facilitate and maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment
- merchandise the store appealingly and rotate products to create eye-catching displays
- assist in educating store team about products
- maintain daily and weekly cleaning checklists
- ensure condense and reset standards are maintained
- open and close the store at least two days per week
- assist with employee scheduling and training
- conduct safety meetings and ensure policy compliance
- manage merchandise including receiving, unpacking, stocking and rotating
- maintain accurate inventory levels
- assist in plan-o-zone implementation
- maintain financial integrity through strict cashier accountability and deposit handling
- assist customers with self-checkout
- manage the store in the Store Team Leader's absence
