Sales Advisor Duties & Responsibilities

Create appealing product displays and promotions with the sales team for a better shopping experience
Develop and implement effective sales and customer service strategies in collaboration with management
Assist in analyzing customer preferences and trends to contribute to effective merchandising decisions
Educate customers through product demonstrations and presentations highlighting specific features and benefits
Periodically conduct inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stock discrepancies
Stay informed about current sales promotions, discounts and special offers to effectively communicate them to customers
Provide detailed information on warranties, return policies and after-sales services
Address customer complaints patiently
Meet sales targets, record orders via computer systems and ensure accurate daily revenue closure
Maintain updated customer information in databases
Proactively participate in ongoing product training sessions to stay informed about the latest features, specifications and industry trends
Uphold a clean and orderly store environment

Sales Advisor Experience Requirements & Skills

Proven experience in a sales advisor or similar role
Experience in creating attractive product displays and promotional setups
Experience showing products and explaining features to educate customers
Experience maintaining updated customer information in databases
Tech-savvy with a working knowledge of computer systems and databases
Familiarity with cash register operations
Ability to balance a customer-oriented and results-driven approach
Ability to exhibit professionalism, especially when dealing with customer complaints
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
Demonstrated success in implementing upselling or cross-selling strategies
Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
