Merchandiser Duties & Responsibilities

Optimize product displays for maximum visibility and appeal
Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels
Execute product promotions and marketing initiatives
Analyze market trends and customer feedback to predict product needs and plan product ranges
Track inventory flow and assess opportunities for adjustments, including markdowns, promotions, price changes and clearance activities
Generate and submit comprehensive reports on inventory and sales performance
Working together with buyers, suppliers, distributors and analysts to negotiate prices and quantities

Merchandiser Experience & Skills

Demonstrated expertise in merchandising through practical work experience
Adept at creativity, with a history of identifying target audiences and crafting engaging, informative and motivational campaigns
In tune with the latest trends and best practices in merchandising
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong listening, presentation and decision-making abilities
Exhibit commercial intelligence and the ability to recognize customer needs

Merchandiser Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
Relevant certifications in Merchandising or Retail Management is a bonus
Familiarity with merchandising software and tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
