Quality Analyst Duties & Responsibilities

  • Check for language usage and formatting errors
  • Conduct thorough testing of customized or specialized products to ensure they align with the unique requirements and expectations of clients
  • Employ various testing tools and technologies to conduct efficient and effective quality assurance processes
  • Address and investigate issues raised by customers related to the product
  • Gather relevant statistical data related to the performance and quality of the product
  • Leverage statistical analysis to identify areas for improvement in quality metrics
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to assess and enhance user experience documents
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation outlining the testing protocols and procedures followed during the quality assurance process
  • Perform routine assessments of software components to identify any deviations from quality standards
  • Engage in regular meetings within the IT department to provide updates on QA activities, discuss challenges, and collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth project workflows
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new team members by sharing insights, best practices and knowledge about quality assurance processes and specific projects
  • Effectively manage and allocate resources within the workplace, ensuring that tools, equipment, and technologies needed for QA activities are available and maintained

Quality Analyst Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Quality Analyst or in a similar role
  • Experience in quality inspection, auditing and testing
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulatory compliance standards and requirements
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to derive meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, Python, Scrum, project management, Java and SQL
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tools, concepts and associated methodologies of QA
  • Knowledge of a broad range of software applications, hardware and networks
  • Strong programming knowledge
  • Creative mindset with the ability to approach problems creatively
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
  • Strong understanding of testing principles and concepts
  • Knowledge of web development practices and terminology
  • Strong mathematical and IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Quality Analyst Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
  • Having certifications such as Six Sigma and Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) is advantageous
