Computer Engineer Duties & Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues, working closely with technical support teams and end-users
  • Test and evaluate prototype computer hardware to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components
  • Develop and maintain documentation for hardware specifications, configurations and testing procedures
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality components and materials for computer hardware production
  • Participate in the development of product roadmaps and long-term strategies for computer hardware evolution
  • Adhere to industry standards and regulations in the development and production of computer hardware

Computer Engineer Experience & Skills

  • Proven work experience as a computer engineer or in a comparable role
  • Strong knowledge of design analytics, algorithms and measuring tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity and analytical abilities
  • Ability to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Expertise in hardware design, including the development and validation of motherboards and other computing components
  • Proficiency in programming languages and software development
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and system integration
  • Experience in conducting validation testing for computer hardware.
  • Ability to draft comprehensive blueprints for new computer equipment
  • Experience in planning and managing the production process of computer hardware equipment
