Photographer Duties & Responsibilities

Communicate with clients to schedule photoshoots
Collaborate with the Art Director to determine the necessary images
Recommend creative ideas to exceed goals
Set up photographic equipment for shoots
Arrange objects, scenes, lighting and background based on specifications
Maintain photography equipment such as cameras, computers and tripods
Act as director during photoshoots
Take professional photos in a studio or on location
Utilize photo manipulation software for desired results
Submit completed photos to relevant parties
Maintain a database of archived images
Assign photos to appropriate product categories using keyword tags
Maintain relationships with clients, team members and collaborators
Oversee brand standards, lighting techniques and image quality
Conduct reshoots if necessary
Understand and adhere to copyright laws, licensing agreements and other legal aspects related to photography
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Photographer Experience Requirements & Skills

Proven experience as a photographer in a competitive industry
Knowledge of diverse photography techniques
Proficient in using different camera equipment
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Adobe Sketch, Sketchbook or similar programs
Strong creative presence and artistic flair
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Ability to stand or crouch for extended periods during photoshoots
Ability to direct and supervise other photographers
Capability to follow instructions clearly to achieve desired outcomes
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
Flexibility to work varying hours to accommodate client schedules
Excellent communication, interpersonal, project management and critical thinking skills
