Cafe Manager Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vendors to order essential supplies like takeaway cups, coffee and ingredients
• Maintain records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
• Introduce seasonal and customer-preferred menu items
• Offer guidance to staff for effective issue resolution and delivery of excellent customer service
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in all cafe areas
• Cultivate friendly relationships with customers to enhance loyalty and improve the cafe’s reputation

Cafe Manager Qualifications & Skills

• Proven track record as a Cafe Manager or Barista in a dynamic coffee shop environment
• Proficient hands-on experience with state-of-the-art coffee machines
• Strong mathematical aptitude for handling financial aspects efficiently
• Flexibility to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively lead, manage and motivate a diverse team
• Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service

Cafe Manager Education

• Minimum of a high school diploma or general educational development (GED)
• Additional certification in fields like Business Administration or Hospitality is considered a valuable asset
• Possession of a valid food handler’s license
