House Manager Job Overview
We are looking for a House Manager to help our clients manage their households. As a House Manager, you will be a vital asset in supporting our clients to proactively and efficiently manage every aspect of their households.
Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing household budgets, coordinating with service providers and ensuring the smooth execution of daily tasks. You will also take charge of supervising other household staff, assigning duties and fostering their professional development.
Your role will require meticulous time and task management, creating and maintaining detailed task lists for daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for coordinating household activities such as repairs, family events and travel arrangements, aiming to streamline operations and alleviate logistical burdens for the family.
We are seeking a candidate with a sharp eye for detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain the utmost professionalism and discretion.

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday, with the possibility of overtime beyond 40 hours per week
House Manager Duties & Responsibilities
- Comprehensive oversight of household operations, including budget management, coordination with service providers and execution of daily tasks
- Supervision and guidance of other household staff, with a focus on task delegation and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Creation and maintenance of detailed task lists for daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities
- Coordination of household activities, such as repairs, family events and travel arrangements
- Management of household finances, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to budgetary constraints
- Proactive identification and resolution of challenges
- Contribution to the professional development of the household team, ensuring a high standard of service
House Manager Experience Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience in household management, estate management or a related field
- Knowledge of budget management and financial responsibility within a household setting
- Exceptional organizational skills for managing various aspects of household operations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, staff and service providers
- Meticulous time management to prioritize tasks and maintain a well-functioning household
- Adaptability to handle the dynamic and ever-changing nature of household management
- Leadership skills for supervising and guiding other household staff members
- Detail-oriented approach to task execution and maintaining high standards of service
- Problem-solving skills to anticipate and address challenges efficiently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays, as required
House Manager Education & Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Strong references from previous employers or clients attesting to your capabilities in household management
- Valid driver’s license
