Position: Assistant Head Chef, In-School (Astoria, Queens, NY)

Requirements: 1+ years professional culinary experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen; Associate degree in culinary arts a plus; Demonstrated knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices; Food Handlers Required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire (reimbursement available); Excellent communication skills and extreme organization; Familiarity with NSLP compliance requirements a plus; Must have food handlers license or certificate; Passion for improving nutrition and health in schools; Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
