Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Prolonged standing and walking in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Ability to reach with arms and grasp with hands
  • Ability to push and pull
  • Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and kneel
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels
  • Ability to hear and respond to spoken voice and audible alarms
  • Capability for repetitive arm, wrist, hand, and finger motions
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision at 20 inches or less, distance vision at 20 feet or more, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Effective communication skills in English including reading, writing, and speaking
  • Minimum of 1 year of wheelchair assistance experience
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically including use of iPads, tablets, computers, and mobile devices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients both in person and electronically
  • Eligibility to acquire necessary credentials and clearances including FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal as applicable
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Oversee the daily operations of the wheelchair assistance team
  • Coordinate and assign tasks to wheelchair attendants based on flight schedules and passenger needs
  • Ensure compliance with all airport regulations and ADA guidelines
  • Train new attendants in proper wheelchair handling and safety procedures
  • Implement strategies to improve service efficiency and passenger satisfaction
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during operations
  • Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
