Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
  • ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • strong communication skills
  • capability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • willingness to work occasional nights and weekends
  • ability to maintain emotional control in stressful situations

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • ensure safe and organized storage of food items
  • maintain all serving schedules ensuring food items are served per menu specifications
  • maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees while promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment
  • train and mentor other food service workers
  • maintain maintenance logs on department equipment
  • ensure all food safety and temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action
  • perform preventative maintenance checklists
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • perform other duties as requested by management
  • fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • maintain knowledge of daily catering events and confirm timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
