Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follows up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodates reasonable guest requests and notes preferences
- communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests accommodated
- exhibits exceptional communication skills and maintains a patient, flexible attitude with guests and staff
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- addresses complaints promptly and relays relevant information to supervisors
- ensures dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and maintains cleanliness meeting sanitation standards
- operates equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborates with other departments during special events and functions
- performs other duties as assigned
