Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using multi-line phone systems
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to handle payment transactions accurately
- Willingness to work 30 plus hours per week
- Passion for customer service and animal care
- Ability to maintain professionalism in emotional situations
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to MPH core values
- Computer knowledge including keyboarding and use of communication tools such as email and internet
- Working knowledge of veterinary terminology with ability to pronounce, spell, and understand meanings
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills
- Ability to handle varied and sometimes difficult emotional conditions
- Ability to display tact and respect with clients and team members
- Ability to conduct oneself confidently, calmly, and professionally in stressful situations
- Genuine liking for animals and their owners
- Experience in a veterinary or medical setting is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Greet clients and their pets with a smile
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Answer phones and assist with client questions
- Process payments and invoices
- Support a positive, professional front desk experience
- Maintain accurate client and patient medical records
- Advise clients on veterinary services and retail products
