Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license with no more than one moving violation or at-fault accident in the past three years
- Class C license preferred but not required, must obtain within 30 days of hire (Illinois residents only)
- Twelve months work experience required, experience with box trucks a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship
- Must meet Department of Transportation regulations including medical certification
- No moonlighting (no other paid employment) allowed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Twelve months of work experience preferably in vehicle maintenance or related fields
- Valid driver’s license with no more than one moving violation or at-fault accident in the past three years
- Ability to read and speak English
- Preferred but not required: Class C license with the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire for Illinois residents
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Good driving record compliant with Department of Transportation regulations
- Ability to pass DOT medical examination
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness
Job Duties
- Clean vehicle interior and exterior including windshields, windows, and mats
- Drive various vehicles safely and efficiently including local vehicle deliveries
- Check and maintain fluid levels on all vehicles
- Notify manager of any potential unsafe equipment, conditions, and vehicle problems
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as tire pressure checks, fluid top-ups, and replacing marker lights or lift gates
- Keep work area, tools, and equipment organized and in clean, working condition
- Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance
