Job Requirements
- Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years
- Candidates must meet CarMax’s Driver Safety Evaluation criteria
- Additional licensing and endorsement requirements may apply for select states such as Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, and Mississippi
- Able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and winch transported vehicles during loading process
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Class B CDL preferred
- Ability to meet DOT and FMCSA qualification requirements
- 1+ year of customer service experience
- 1+ year of delivery driving experience or 1 year CarMax experience
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Adherence to all applicable CarMax policies and procedures
- Proficient in operating a manual transmission
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Duties
- Operate a two-car hauler for customer vehicle deliveries
- Load, transport and off-load CarMax vehicles at various locations
- Facilitate the completion of Home Delivery transactions
- Interact with customers, other associates and team members to provide outstanding internal and external customer service
- Perform brief and guided condition verification for vehicles being transported
- Verify that all vehicles meet CarMax's cosmetic standards before delivery
- Comply with applicable DOT/FMCSA requirements and CarMax policies including pre-trip and post-trip inspections and hours-of-service regulations
