Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum six months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Meet applicable state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for last three years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Current DOT health card or ability to obtain one
- Ability to hand-lift up to 90 pounds and use related equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Six or more months of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past three years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT health card or be able to secure one
- Ability to hand-lift and use two-wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment to move and stack product cases
- Ability to handle product cases ranging from 10 to 90 pounds depending on location
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
- Report all safety hazards immediately
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as necessary
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route and schedule
- Unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks and communicate with supervisors as needed
- Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect payments where required
- Load customer returns on trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Complete daily hours of service records and log according to federal and state regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of tractor, loading dock area, and trailers
- Secure equipment and complete paperwork at end of shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
