Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum six months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Meet applicable state licensing and certification requirements
  • Clean motor vehicle report for last three years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Current DOT health card or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to hand-lift up to 90 pounds and use related equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Six or more months of commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past three years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have valid current DOT health card or be able to secure one
  • Ability to hand-lift and use two-wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment to move and stack product cases
  • Ability to handle product cases ranging from 10 to 90 pounds depending on location

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
  • Report all safety hazards immediately
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as necessary
  • Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route and schedule
  • Unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks and communicate with supervisors as needed
  • Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect payments where required
  • Load customer returns on trailer and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • Complete daily hours of service records and log according to federal and state regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness of tractor, loading dock area, and trailers
  • Secure equipment and complete paperwork at end of shift
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
