Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum age of 21 years
- 0-6 months commercial tractor/trailer experience
- Clean driving record for past three years
- Ability to pass drug and road tests
- Meet state licensing and certification requirements
- Possession or ability to obtain DOT Health Card
- Physical ability to lift and move freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds with equipment
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 0-6 months commercial tractor/trailer experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment like two-wheeler and lift gate to move product cases and freight ranging from 10 to 90 pounds
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and report safety issues
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedules
- Unload products from trailer and transport items to designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and report issues to supervisor
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
- Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers
- Complete daily hours of service records and enter logs per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at shift end
- Perform other related duties as assigned
