Job Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- ACLS preferred
- NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification preferred
- Level 3 or 4 maternity care experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required
- High-risk Labor and Delivery experience required
- Ability to scrub for C-sections preferred
- Proof of address document required for consideration (Driver's License, Voter Registration card, Federal Tax Return, Military Form DD-2058, or W2)
- 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Holiday coverage required.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP) experience
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license
- Current BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
- High-risk Labor and Delivery experience
- Ability to scrub for cesarean sections preferred
- Knowledge of fetal monitoring and use of Philips Avalon and OBIX systems
- Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred
- Ability to provide triage and emergency management
- Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Job Duties
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments
- Develop and implement plans of care
- Evaluate nursing interventions for obstetrical and women’s health patients
- Administer medications and coordinate care across hospital departments in compliance with state practice standards
- Provide triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management for women of all ages
- Apply the nursing process across pregnancy, birth, postpartum, gynecological, and neonatal care
- Support high-risk Labor and Delivery cases including scrubbing for C-sections
- Utilize fetal monitoring technology such as Philips Avalon and OBIX
- Collaborate with OB residents, anesthesia, and NICU teams
- Float to Postpartum and Mother/Baby units as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR system (preferred).
