Job Requirements
- Possess a valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license
- Pass a DOT physical
- Ability to climb into and out of trucks multiple times a day using 3 points of contact
- Ability to sit for extended periods and walk short distances
- Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, and squat to inspect truck and tires
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proficient hearing and vision to operate a commercial motor vehicle safely
- Ability to work in a moderately noisy environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 3 years of satisfactory driving experience with Class A or B vehicles preferred
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of safety regulations
- Effective communication skills to interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers
- Basic computer skills including use of tablets and applications
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to meet all Federal and State DOT requirements
- Pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Successfully complete a written and road test
- Maintain a valid Texas CDL and DOT medical card
Job Duties
- Operate a Roll Off large container truck to service industrial, commercial and construction customers on assigned routes
- Secure and cover all loads to ensure safe transport to disposal or processing locations
- Prepare, receive, and provide documentation for container delivery and pickup to ensure timely service
- Follow safety and DOT regulations when covering and securing loads
- Comply with all safety procedures at disposal and processing sites
- Maintain radio or telephone communications with dispatch and supervisor for instructions or changes
- Maintain route sheets, vehicle inspection records, and follow all federal and state DOT regulations
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and attend mandatory safety meetings and briefings
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently following all laws and operational policies
- Identify, tag, or communicate any scheduled services not provided and avoid collecting prohibited or hazardous waste
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional appearance when interacting with customers
- Report all safety and service incidents to the supervisor immediately
