Job Requirements

  • Completion of CDL truck driving school
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in route delivery
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in driving straight truck
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid commercial driver s license (CDL), class A or class B
  • Clean driving record
  • Must pass physical exam

Job Duties

  • Efficiently deliver product to company satellite locations, rotate and count inventory if necessary, process paperwork accurately, follow driver safety rules and provide professional customer service
  • Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times
  • Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules and perform pre-trip inspection
  • Ensure routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes or tire rotations are performed in a timely manner on the delivery vehicles
  • Report accidents and injuries and any damage to equipment immediately
  • Exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities
  • Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary
  • Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law
