Job Requirements

  • Hold a valid and active driver’s license
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk throughout 12-hour shifts
  • Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Work 40 hours per week with overtime as needed
  • Work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Understand and adhere to all job safety requirements and guidelines in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Hold a valid and active driver’s license
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with colleagues and vendors

Job Duties

  • Make safety a priority by adhering to company rules and regulations
  • Perform various functions within the yard including checking in trailers, traffic flow, and internal communications
  • Operate commercial motor vehicles such as hostlers and day cabs to move trailers between docks and parking locations
  • Conduct yard audits and complete driver vehicle inspection reports
  • Follow Department of Transportation regulations and company policies related to vehicle operation and safety
  • Track and report working hours and breaks in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
  • Support business needs by serving as a peer trainer and working at nearby site locations as required
