Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds
- twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently in the performance of responsibilities
- apply manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability
- adhere to all proper safety standards and regulations including wearing proper protective equipment and gear as it relates to the job
- to meet deadlines and support business operations works a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed
- must possess valid MN driver’s license and be able to do some local travel
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience working with high pressure cylinders preferred
- Class A license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required
Job Duties
- Safety drive and transfer: load and unload gas cylinders off tractor trailer unit between various locations including vendors, customers and Central McGowan locations
- deliver a full variety of cryogenic and gaseous cylinders to Central McGowan branches
- replenish empty customer tanks of all sizes
- follow approved procedures for safe handling and delivery of product in and outside buildings
- operate motor vehicle to transport hazardous material and equipment safely
- handle emergency situations as they arise professionally and in accordance with appropriate protocol
- assist in loading full cylinders for the next route day and secure properly in truck
- drive carefully and obey all traffic laws
- cylinder handling (moving cylinders to and away from the fill racks and manifolds)
- assisting in loading and unloading trucks and trailers
- paint and prep cylinders for filling
- cylinder filling procedures
- fill plant cylinder scanning (ACM)
- deliver a full variety of cryogenic and gaseous cylinders to customers
- replenish empty customer tanks of all sizes
- customer tanks may be located indoors or outdoors
