Job Requirements
- Valid class A CDL license
- Insurable driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently
- Ability to operate forklift safely
- Strong personal accountability and self-management skills
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Flexibility to work rotating two-week schedule with varying daily hours
- Ability to travel regularly
- Physical ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, and stretch periodically
Job Qualifications
- Requires a valid class A CDL and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
- Must be able to physically lift 50 lbs. consistently
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Personal accountability and self-management to prioritize and complete all tasks required of the position
- Provide exceptional customer service
- High school diploma or GED
Job Duties
- Demonstrate Modern Machinery's core values and promote the mission and vision of the company
- Follow all company policies and regulations for safe work procedures and contribute to the achievement of company safety goals
- Fully understand how to safely operate and drive your assigned vehicle
- Map delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries and pick ups
- Daily pre-route vehicle inspections for safety and vehicle readiness using the Driver's Vehicle Inspection Report
- Transport goods and packages from a place of origin to assigned destination
- Pick-up loads and organize goods in an ordered, logical manner ensuring truck is properly loaded, secured, and within the weight limitation
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA rules and regulations
- Assist warehouse staff in safely and efficiently handling and unloading goods from the truck/trailer at selected destinations
- Ability to work in an unsupervised environment
