Job Requirements
- Interstate Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement including cleared background check or will obtain within 120 calendar days of hire
- Minimum of 30 months experience in full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving in the previous 4 years or completion of Walmart Fleet Development Academy
- No more than two moving violations in personal or commercial motor vehicle operation in last 3 years
- No serious traffic violations in last 3 years
- No preventable accidents while operating motor vehicle in last 3 years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents in last 10 years
- No preventable accident resulting in fatality or catastrophic injury in driving history
- Must currently live within 250 miles of assigned facility or willing to establish residence within 250 miles within 90 days from hire date
- Permanent residence defined as main and regular residence at fixed address reported to government
Job Qualifications
- Interstate Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain within 120 days
- Minimum 30 months of experience in full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving in the last 48 months or successful completion of Walmart Fleet Development Academy Program
- Safe driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents in the last three years
- Ability to establish residence within 250 miles of assigned facility within 90 days if not currently residing within the area
- Commitment to punctuality and customer service
Job Duties
- Make no touch freight deliveries of merchandise to Walmart locations within the region
- Maintain a safe driving record by adhering to traffic laws and company safety standards
- Deliver shipments on time to meet customer service expectations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Perform vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Follow company policies regarding freight handling and documentation
- Participate in driver mentor programs and contribute positively to team dynamics
