Job Requirements
- Completion of high school
- minimum of one-year actual experience in military or civilian aviation tool room or three years of general tool room experience
- ability to walk and stand on level or inclined surfaces for up to six hours per day
- ability to climb stairs ramps ladders and work stands
- capacity to crouch crawl grasp or handle objects use finger dexterity bend elbow or knee and reach above or below shoulders
- ability to carry push or pull up to 50 pounds
- ability to lift up to 35 pounds to a height of seven feet
- ability to see imperfections micrometer readings and other small scales
- ability to read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print
- effective verbal communication skills
- ability to distinguish color and judge three dimensional depths
- ability to operate power machinery hand tools etc
- minimum 20/100 near and far vision correctable to 20/20
- ability to obtain and maintain any company or government required qualification certification licensing or security clearance
- valid drivers license
- willingness to work any assigned shift or schedule

Job Duties
- Receives stores and issues hand tools machine tools dies replacement parts shop supplies and equipment such as measuring devices in industrial establishment
- keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers
- searches for lost or misplaced tools
- prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed
- unpacks and stores new equipment
- visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors
- coats tools with grease or other preservative using brush or spray gun
- attaches identification tags or engraves identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool
- performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested
