Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- knowledge of basic cash handling procedures
- basic mathematical skills
- ability to operate cash register and scanner
- ability to stock, rotate, and display merchandise
- ability to perform physical tasks including frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 40 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 55 pounds, climbing ladders
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to moderate noise, strong scents, outside weather conditions, wet floors, and household and industrial cleaning solutions

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations
- possess product knowledge and use selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized store environment
- assist in merchandising the store to keep it appealing and retain customer excitement
- rotate products and create eye-catching displays following company merchandising guidelines
- complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities
- condense and reset displayed merchandise and conduct daily recovery to provide a clutter-free shopping experience
- operate cash register(s), scan items, total purchases, collect payments, make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers
- assist customers with self-checkout at multiple register terminals
- follow company merchandise processes including unpacking, stocking, restocking, rotating products, and building displays
- clean store areas including floors, restrooms, and receiving rooms
- help set up sidewalk displays
- adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook and operating manual
