Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- knowledge of basic cash handling procedures
- basic mathematical skills
- ability to perform cash register functions
- ability to stock and display merchandise
- frequent walking and standing
- frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
- frequent handling of merchandise and equipment
- frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds
- occasional climbing using a ladder

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer’s expectations
- possess product knowledge and use of selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights customers
- assist in merchandising the store with appealing and exciting displays
- rotate product to create eye-catching displays to drive sales
- complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities
- condense and reset displayed merchandise and conduct daily recovery to provide a clutter free shopping experience
- follow company policies and procedures
- operate cash register(s) and scanner to itemize purchases, collect payment, make change, and bag merchandise
- assist customers with merchandise as necessary
- assist customers in the self-checkout process
- unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays
- clean the store including taking out trash, dusting and mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and receiving areas, and setting up sidewalk displays
