Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a sushi chef or similar culinary role
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing kitchen teams
- Ability to comply with health, safety, and labor regulations
- Capability to train and mentor culinary staff
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts and fill in as needed
- Commitment to maintaining high service and quality standards
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sushi chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or private club
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing culinary teams
- In-depth knowledge of food preparation methods, portion control, and presentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with executive management
- Excellent understanding of health and safety standards in culinary operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Experience in food and beverage strategic planning is an asset
Job Duties
- Assist in providing culinary direction and leadership for the club’s restaurants, lounges and bars
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to drive the strategic development of food and beverage functions
- Lead the culinary team in achieving exceptional quality of food delivery
- Actively manage financial goals of each kitchen operation
- Monitor kitchen performance and maintain facilities according to The Quin House service standards
- Ensure high member satisfaction and exceptional dining experience
- Provide leadership to foster a respectful and productive work culture
- Train employees and create opportunities for staff growth
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Assist in developing and implementing the club’s food philosophy
- Develop, implement, and monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation
- Implement procedures to increase member and employee satisfaction
- Understand and comply with all policies, standards, and training programs
- Fill in where needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations
- Comply fully with all health, safety, and labor regulations applicable to the club and its members and employees
