Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a sushi cook or similar role
  • Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
  • Strong knife skills and precision in handling raw fish and ingredients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to push and pull equipment occasionally
  • Tolerance for moderate to high noise levels in the kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a sushi cook or in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
  • Strong knife skills and precision in handling raw fish and other ingredients
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality sushi dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
  • Handle, slice, and present fish and other ingredients with precision and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and organized work-flow
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the sushi preparation area
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of sushi ingredients
  • Uphold food safety regulations and practices
  • Perform other duties as needed to support team goals and organizational objectives
