Job Requirements

Minimum four years experience preparing and presenting Japanese cuisine preferred
extensive product knowledge
interest in and familiarity with local or unique ingredients
positive attitude
ability to work well with other team members
ability to work positively under pressure
excellent critical thinking, time management and organizational skills
clear communication
willingness to follow direction and ask questions for clarification
physical abilities to carry out job functions

Job Duties

Sushi roll production
special menu item orders
nigiri and sashimi preparation
adheres to high customer service standards and food quality standards
maintains excellent knowledge about menu items and ingredients
prepares unique, creative Japanese fusion as well as traditional Japanese cuisine
ensures orders are complete and food looks appealing before serving
resolves complaints regarding food or service
other duties as requested by manager
