Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years' bartending experience in high-volume or upscale environments
  • Must be a knowledgeable mixologist
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have advanced bartending techniques and mixology knowledge
  • Experience with elevated garnish, ice and glassware programs preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of wine varietals, beer and liquor brands
  • Must have previous experience and be comfortable with jigger usage
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to wear assigned uniform comfortably
  • Must possess a valid gaming license
  • Food Handler and SERV Safe certifications required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years' bartending experience in a high-volume front bar, service bar, fine dining or nightclub setting
  • Knowledgeable mixologist
  • Advanced bartending techniques and knowledge of mixology and bartending recipes
  • Experience with garnish, ice, and glassware programs preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of wine varietals and popular producers
  • Advanced knowledge of beer and liquor brands
  • Comfortable using jiggers
  • Effective communication skills with guests, co-workers, and management
  • Ability to wear and appear comfortable in assigned uniform

Job Duties

  • Complies with all training and certification requirements for excellent knowledge, sales ability, and service of all stocked tobacco products
  • Always prepared for a shift with tools and uniform requirements including but not limited to cigar cutters, torch/lighter/matches, wine opener, pens, etc
  • Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly quality service and preparation of beverages to all customers
  • Communicates to supervisor any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information
  • Up-sells and regularly replenishes beverages, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations
  • Converses with guests about alcoholic beverages, advising the types and styles of beverage, taking beverage orders, and serving beverage
  • Promotes, sells, delivers cocktails as well as potentially make and present table-side cocktails
  • Complies with legal provisions of local liquor codes
  • Assesses guest's intoxication level and takes appropriate action as needed
  • Knowledge of when to cut-off intoxicated guests and ability to communicate with management and other staff in such situations
  • Monitors factors which interfere with the total experience of the guest
  • Uses refrigeration and coffee systems correctly
  • Adheres to stock control procedures
  • Complies with all department rules, policies, procedures and internal controls as well as local, state and federal regulations
  • Accepts payment and/or comp authorization upon service of beverages
  • Balances bank daily and manages it
  • Participates in developing specials
  • Trains assistants and cross-trained staff
  • Attends periodic meetings and training sessions
  • Cleans menus, lounge areas, polished items
  • Holds staff accountable to cleanliness standards
  • Maintains neat and clean appearance
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of cigar stock and service procedures
  • Changes ashtrays before more than two butts accumulate
  • Ensures chairs and tables are reset and clean between guests
  • Communicates efficiently with management regarding stocking and ordering needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
